This program was the leader for many years and is still a top rated program, and certainly one of the best sellers. In our opinion, the 2003 version would be considered the pinnacle of usability, offering decent performance and adding outbound mail scanning. Some usability and registration problems began occurring with the 2005 version, but these were mostly fixed with the 2006 version. If anyone has problems about a subscription expiring, a call to Symantec straightens that out readily. |
With the 2006, 2007 and successor versions more anti-spyware and defenses agains worms.
The 2007 version also offers certain protections against root kits.
